BEATY SIGNS PROPERTY RIGHTS PROTECTION PLEDGE
A conservative Republican Massachusetts State Senate Candidate for the Cape & Islands District, Ron Beaty, formally signed a “private property rights protection pledge” last week on Friday, June 6th as part of his ongoing State Senate Candidacy and campaign for limited government, fiscal responsibility, individual liberty, and adherence to the United States Constitution. Beaty believes that all of these things have been sorely lacking during the last four years under the political tenure of the current State Senator Daniel A. Wolf.
As a case in point, Beaty pointed to House Bill 1859 directed at “zoning reform” presently under consideration by the state legislature as “a seriously flawed piece of legislation which is extremely detrimental to the private property rights of Massachusetts residents.” Moreover, it is being sponsored by radical left-wing Democratic State Senator Dan Wolf.
Under the “CAPR Political Action Committee Candidate Pledge” officially sponsored by the “Citizens’ Alliance for Property (CAPR)” and signed by the Massachusetts State Senate Candidate, if elected, Beaty has sworn that:
“In accordance with my oath of office to uphold my state Constitution and the Constitution of the United States, I hereby affirm that I will not use the power of my office to advance laws, policies, or regulations which I believe would most likely result in the loss of any reasonable use, in taking, or in any other damage to private property unless provisions for just compensation having first been made or legally established in any such law, policy, or regulation.”
