As part of his presentation to the Town Council, Beaty quotesprominent American Revolutionary War figure, James Otis, Jr.who originally uttered the rallying cry: “No Taxation without Representation!”
It should also be noted that after his brief speech to theBarnstable Town Council, Beaty presented a gift to the Barnstable Town Clerk: a copy of the United States Constitution and the Declaration of Independence from theNational Archives in Washington, DC.
